Waypoint Academy

Growing in knowledge, wisdom, and love as a church community.

Waypoint Academy is a series of classes taught by the pastors, staff, and ministry leaders of Waypoint Church to help our church community grow in their knowledge of God, their wisdom, and their love for others.

The classes will be taught throughout the year. All the classes will be either one 2-3 hour session or two 2 hour sessions.

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

Ephesians 4:11-13

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Provide a foundation of core theological doctrines and a foundation that shows us how we can continue to grow spiritually, both personally and in community. We encourage all Waypoint members to take these classes. These classes will be made regularly available so that you are able to complete all of the 200 level classes for a certificate over a 3-4 year period.
