Cross-Cultural Christmas Caroling

Thursday, December 13

6:00 - 9:00 pm

Duke Manor Apartments (311 South Lasalle Street, Durham)

Contact Joy at joy@waypointrdu.com

“Sing to him, sing praises to him;

    tell of all his wondrous works!” Psalms 105:2

What: Going Christmas caroling and taking cookies to our refugee & immigrant friends.

Where: At Duke Manor Apartments, a housing community for immigrants, refugees, international students and others.

How: We are going to meet together at the apartment complex by the office then go Christmas caroling to our friends of the nations at their apartments and give them a plate filled with a dozen cookies and a candy cane with the story of Jesus’ birth from Luke and Matthew in Arabic, Spanish, English, & Dari.

Why: As we celebrate Jesus’ birth we are to make him known among the nations. Christmas season is a great opportunity to share Christ’s love and make the story of Christmas known to our unbelieving friends in their own languages.

Ways you can help:

  • By baking cookies: please pick up Christmas cookie packaging supplies at church and please make sure all cookies are GELATIN FREE in respect of our Muslim friends.

  • If you are not caroling, please drop off your cookies at the Waypoint Church Office by Wednesday, 12/12

  • Go Christmas Caroling.

  • Play an instrument.
