Outdoor Worship Service - Update
Thanks to the feedback we’ve received about our first outdoor, in-person worship service, we are excited to announce that we will continue hosting the outdoor Sunday worship service (in addition to our regular youtube livestream service) for the foreseeable future! We plan to hold these outdoor services weather permitting, and until this is no longer the best option for us as a church body.
This 9:00 AM service will not replace our regularly scheduled 10:30 AM livestream service but is meant to provide the option of worshipping together in person for those who feel comfortable doing so.
We ask that, out of respect for others, all persons attending the outdoor service will adhere to the following social distancing guidelines (please read them here: Outdoor Service Guidelines). We strongly encourage wearing masks. When you are socializing before and after the service, we ask that you wear a mask. When you are sitting down you may choose to take your mask off. We will have masks available for anyone who needs one. We strongly encourage families to sit six feet apart from other families or individuals and ask that each person brings his or her own chair, blanket, etc. We will have some chairs available for use as well.
This 9:00 AM service will be a “condensed service” meaning that it will consist of a shorter worship set but still have the same sermon as the 10:30 AM livestream service. If you plan to attend the outdoor service, we ask that you arrive early (before 9:00 AM) since we will be starting the service promptly at 9:00 and are hoping to avoid the distraction of cars pulling in after worship has started.
If there is a weather concern, we will make a cancellation announcement by 8:00 AM.
As we work through these unprecedented times, we appreciate your commitment as a body of believers to “encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). We look forward to continuing to worship together virtually every Sunday and are excited about the opportunity to worship together in person, as well.
